Kris Oberle
Counseling Intern
Hello! I’m Kris. My path to counseling has been shaped by a broad academic and professional background that includes undergraduate studies in zoology and history. Over time, I discovered a deep interest in understanding people—their experiences, growth, and capacity for change. This led me to pursue a graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Adams State University, where I continue to learn from mentors, supervisors, and the clients I have the privilege to support.
I am particularly drawn to working with individuals navigating OCD, depression, and anxiety. My approach is grounded in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), emphasizing practical, evidence-based tools that can be adapted to each client’s unique needs. I aim to create a collaborative, compassionate space where clients feel supported in exploring their challenges and building meaningful change.
Humility, authenticity, and curiosity guide my work. I believe counseling is a partnership rooted in respect, accountability, and a shared commitment to growth.
Outside of my professional life, I enjoy spending time with loved ones (including a few four-legged family members), supporting local wildlife efforts, and cheering on the Broncos. I also sing with a local chorale—music keeps me grounded and reminds me of the beauty in shared voices.
