Counseling Intern
I am so excited to have the privilege of partnering with clients on their journey towards self-discovery and healing.
I grew up in Texas then moved overseas at age 20. I lived overseas for 23 years, six in England and 17 in South Africa. As a family we have navigated living cross-culturally as well as the challenges of readjusting back to life in America. This experience has given me a unique perspective on many different aspects of life as well as the opportunity to experience different cultural perspectives.
I have a B.A. in Counseling from The King’s University and I am presently working on my M.A. in Clinical Mental Health from Adams State University. My experience has included working cross culturally with individuals, youth, and families as well as up to four years of experience with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
My passion is providing a safe space for clients to tell their stories, rediscover their strengths, and together find a way towards healing. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and trauma informed. My focus is working with families and children and walking with them in their unique journey to wholeness and healing. I am happy to include spirituality from a Christian perspective at the request of the client.
Outside of work hours I love being in nature, playing games and listening to music with my family and friends, drinking coffee, and reading.
I look forward to working with you!
