Life can often be challenging and difficult to navigate. We sometimes have big emotions that can be overwhelming. Or perhaps you are doing well and seeking personal growth. Therapy is a safe place to heal, be heard, explore possibilities, and to set goals and reach them.

I work with both individuals and couples. I specialize in trauma, addiction, anger management, relationship conflicts, men’s issues, spiritual abuse, and grief/bereavement. I view the counseling relationship as a partnership and see my role as assisting people in understanding their life-patterns, helping them recognize and use their strengths ,while also empowering them to take ownership over their feelings, thoughts, and behaviors. My approach to therapy is goal oriented, helping clients with changing unwanted thoughts and behaviors, as well as helping them to regulate their emotions and tolerate stress. I also offer Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, which is an innovative therapeutic technique that helps clients reprocess a traumatic event in a way that leads to healing.

I grew up in western Colorado and earned my B.A. in Psychology from the University of Northern Colorado along with my M.A. in Clinical Mental Health from Denver Seminary. I am currently a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Colorado. In my free time, I love playing guitar, running, skiing, camping, fishing, lots of walks with my golden retriever, and eating copious amounts of ice cream.

DANE’S FEES:

Individual therapy – $175 intake session, $150 standard session

Couples/Family therapy – $250 intake session (90 minutes), $160 standard session

EMDR therapy – $185 intake session, $165 standard session
